Rotarians undertake a variety of roles in managing the Housing Association which now has 11 houses consisting of 153 flats accommodating up to 168 tenants. The organisation is governed by a Board of Management which includes 7 Rotarians and 2 independent members and meets five times a year.
Six of the Rotarian Board members and 1 independent member also undertake the role of House Chairman/Deputy in the main properties and thereby maintain close contact with the house and Scheme Manager. In addition to regular meetings, they attend social functions. The remaining independent member acts as chairman for the non- managed schemes. This arrangement provides a vital communication link between the house residents and the Board.
The Housing Association Board has responsibility for managing its own financial affairs and ensuring that the properties are maintained to a high standard.
The daily management of the Association's work is carried out by an appointed Chief Executive/Secretary together with a Housing Manager who is assisted by 2 Administrative Assistants, and four Scheme Managers.
